But maybe the story will even be good in the end, who knows. Especially it being a co-op game for up to four players promises some fun hours filled with shooting and exploding stuff for loot. We don't know too much about the gameplay and specific abilities yet, but the trailer looks like a lot of fun. And a wild hog (hehe, you know like the studio is called Flying Wild Hog). A weird alien that looks a bit like those worm guys from Men in Black. A rather badass looking woman, that can grow blades out of her body. A guy called Duke, who looks like a mix of Handsome Jack and Star Lord. Like in Diablo the game is isometric and it basically is a twin stick shooter with a lot of action and even more loot to hunt for. So now that you have seen the trailer it is quite obvious why we call it a mix of Diablo and Borderlands, right? Especially the graphics look a lot like Borderlands. But just take a look at the trailer yourself before we continue: Like in Diablo and Borderlands each character is his own class with several exclusive abilities. The game features four differet playable characters, that take on contracts across various plates for money and fame. All of that in a crazy but cool-looking sci-fi setting. Space Punks is a top-down shooter RPG with online co-op, that combines elements from Diablo with those of traditional loot shooters like Borderlands. How is that supposed to work? Well, let me explain, what kind of game Space Punks is going to be. The latest game of the polish studio combines two of our most beloved video game franchises, Diablo and Borderlands. We have all the info including the Space Punks release date. Their new game is a crazy mix of Diablo and Borderlands and its release is right around the corner. Space Punks is the new game of Flying Wild Hog, the studio behind Shadow Warrior and Hard Reset. Starting April 20, fans of the genre can play the game’s open beta for free on the Epic Games Store. Space Punks, the top-down looter-shooter developed by Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, is getting an open beta next month.
